Zardari, Nawaz intending to appoint ‘their favorite’ COAS
Ex-prime minister Imran Khan said on Sunday that Asif Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are doing their best to appoint "their" army chief, who will be a personal favourite.
“Both are waiting to appoint their own army chief,” he said while addressing a rally in Faisalabad.
The current Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, will retire in November 2022.
