The verdict was a 4-1 as only Justice Muhammad Sajid Mehmood Sethi had a different opinion on the matter.

The decision of the High Court in favour of the PTI petitions signifies the re-election for the position of Chief Minister of Punjab.

The court ordered the presiding officer to proceed with the reelection after subtracting 25 votes of the defaulting PTI members if there is a shortage of votes required, 186, to become the CM.
