Pakistan’s T20 World Cup Glory: 3 Finals and 6 Semi-Finals

Pakistan’s performance in the T20 World Cup has been outstanding.

The Pakistan team is the second most successful team in T20 World Cup history, having played 47 matches and won 28.

They also hold the distinction of playing in the most semi-finals (six) and three finals.

Although Pakistan did not win the first T20 World Cup, they lifted the trophy in the second edition.

Their performance in the last two World Cups has been exceptional, reaching the semi-finals once and the final once.

In 2022, they played the final against England in Melbourne, but the injury and subsequent absence of star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi shattered their dream of becoming world champions for the second time.

Pakistan is one of the three teams to have reached three T20 World Cup finals.

They played consecutive finals in 2007 and 2009, and then again in 2022.

Sri Lanka and England have also played in three finals each.
