PM Shahbaz denounces Yasin Malik’s conviction

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly denounced the conviction of the eminent Kashmiri Yasin Malik by an Indian court on false accusations of terrorism and called on the international community to take note of the victimization of the real representative leadership of the Indian-occupied people of Kashmir. The Prime Minister said on Twitter that the conviction of eminent Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik for false funding is a futile effort to silence voices critical of India’s blatant human rights abuses. “Modi must be held accountable for this human rights violation,” he said.

He said the world community in particular the United Nations and the Human Rights Council should take note of further law and justice activities of the Indian government based on the victimization of Kashmir leaders.

He maintained that Pakistan would raise the issue of victimization of Kashmiri leadership in IIOJ&K by the Indian government at all international forums and OIC.

“Like August 5, 2019, illegitimate annexation of Kashmir, the case against Yasin Malik is also illegitimate and illegal,” Shehbaz Sharif said.

“We applause to the unprecedented struggle of Kashmiri people and for sacrifices which they rendering to achieve their sacred objectives,” Shahbaz said.
